New Year’s Eve 2024, here we are, and I have reflections on the unique energy of this day. This isn't just another turning of the calendar—it’s a potent moment very different from the previous years. So, if you plan to be out and about this year, tune into this transmission.
With Mars, Jupiter, and Uranus all in retrograde, we are entering a space of deep reflection and inner movement. It's not a time for big resolutions or rapid takeoffs—those seeds are best planted after January 4th, when the energy shifts, or after February 23rd, when the retrogrades are over. Right now, we honor where we are and what we’ve endured.
The Sun is illuminating Gate 38 (Opposition) and Gate 39 (Obstruction), energies that push us to confront struggle and provocation. This is a time to recognize the perseverance within us, to celebrate the resilience that has carried us through challenges. The shadows of struggle and obstruction remind us of the inner work we are still doing.
If you plan to attend an NYE celebration with many people or people you are generally not around, be cautious and be present. Fights and misunderstandings break out very quickly during Mars in retrograde. Be around others that you can trust to hold space. This is not a time for whimsical community. Be with your best people or be at home. However, if you must attend a big event, gravitate towards those who match you and move around as a crew.
In this space of backward motion, it’s an opportunity to honor the beauty of what we've experienced here—the struggles, triumphs, and perseverance that have shaped us. Let us celebrate what is and acknowledge what is moving backward to make way for future growth.

As the retrograde energies of Mars (profession & aggression), Jupiter (success), and Uranus (out-of-the-box expression) move through us, engage in activities that inspire perseverance and authentic expression.
Find your place of refuge where you fearlessly acknowledge what you’ve been through and create fertile ground for the New Year. When the Marrying Maiden (Gate 54) energy arrives on January 4th, we’ll be ready to plant new seeds and move forward with clarity and intention.
I pray that this transition into the New Year will be a time of deep connection, healing, and creative expression—a celebration of who we are, where we came from, and the strength within us.
